Since 2018, we have worked with probation and parole officers, county jails, and sheriffs to provide quality health insurance to individuals re-entering society after incarceration. Under the Affordable Care Act’s mission to provide affordable healthcare for all U.S. citizens, individuals recently released from incarceration are eligible to obtain coverage year-round.

In the first two weeks after release, the rate of death among former inmates is 12 times greater compared to the general public.
The leading causes of death for the ex-offenders were drug overdose and cardiovascular disease.
